Our Mission

Vinyard Software, Inc., and its International Terrorism Data Center provides universities, research institutions, governments, the media, and others interested in international terrorism the best publicly-available data on terrorists and events around the world. The 2021 versions of Iterate-Text and Numeric and DOTS are now available.
ITERATE
ITERATE (International Terrorism: Attributes of Terrorist Events) comes in two flavors. The Text covers 1960-2021, and is $50 per each year; it resides in Microsoft Word or WordPerfect format. For example, 1980 Text would cost $50; 1980-1981 Text would be $100. We then coded incidents from 1960-2021 for circa 150 variables; they reside in Excel format. The Numeric version is a separate $50 per each year. Contact Us re which datasets and years you want, and send a check for the appropriate amount made out to Vinyard Software, Inc. 502 Wandering Woods Way, Ponte Vedra, Florida 32081-0621. As soon as the check arrives, we'll send the files via e-attachment. We'd be delighted to include citations to any of your published work on terrorism in the next edition of the annotated bibliography series Dr. Edward Mickolus publishes. Send complete citations. The texts for 2008-2012, 2013-2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019-2020 and 2021 are available in book form.
DOTS
The DOTS (Data on Terrorist Suspects) project, a compendium of biographies of Leaders, Perpetrators, Financiers, Defendants, Detainees, Persons of Interest, Conspirators, and Others, includes aliases and kunyas, receiving mention in any of the international incidents appearing in ITERATE and other sources from 1960-2021. It is available for a $1,000 check made out to Vinyard Software, Inc., 502 Wandering Woods Way, Ponte Vedra, Florida 32081-0621. We send the Word files to you as e-attachments. Annual updates are available for $50. We'd be delighted to include citations to any of your published work on terrorism in the next edition of the annotated bibliography series Dr. Edward Mickolus publishes. Just send complete citations.
